The MoodSwing Orchestra was formed in 1995 for the performance of swing and dance band music of the 1930s and '40s.  MoodSwing covers big band hits made famous by leaders such as Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller and Xavier Cugat.

The Orchestra's fresh approach to classic big band music has attracted an enthusiastic following among Bay Area music fans.  MoodSwing was chosen as one of the best local swing bands in the March 1999 issue of San Francisco magazine, and was featured on the nationally syndicated big band radio show "One Night Stand."
